The miracle of childbirth can quickly turn into a nightmare during an emergency. Although considered as a normal process, every childbirth must be managed as an obstetrical emergency. Midwives are the first line of defense for women during obstetrical emergencies and the interventions they provide at such instances determine the outcome for the mother and the baby.
OBJECTIVES:
This workshop will enable participants to
- update knowledge and skills in handling obstetrical emergencies.
- implement quality handling concepts related to obstetrical emergency preparedness and management.
- perform Basic Life Support in obstetrical emergencies.
