The Post Basic Diploma Programmes in Nursing are designed to prepare registered nurses to acquire in-depth knowledge and clinical skills in providing advanced quality of care in the respective specialised areas and function effectively as care givers at the three levels of health care.

Post Basic Diploma in Haematology Nursing including Stem Cell Transplant

The Post Basic Diploma in Haematology Specialty Nursing including Stem Cell transplant is designed to prepare registered nurses for advanced practice of nursing in Haematology Nursing. It enables the nurse to analyse the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, developmental and spiritual factors that influence individual and family health outcomes. Nurses provide health care to Haematology patients across the lifespan, primarily in care settings like Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) and in the Haematology wards and coordinates specialized care with the assistance of haematologists. This programme requires full time attendance.

Post Basic Diploma in Oncology Nursing

The course consists of four semesters spread out over a two-year period to provide students with a flexible schedule. In order to prepare students for careers in the medical sector, the M.Sc Nursing curriculum includes techniques and methods found within the hospital .It  is a postgraduate course that aims to help the students gain knowledge and experience participating in research projects. . The M.Sc Nursing curriculum allows students to learn nursing techniques that will help them meet medical challenges.

Students are exposed to different courses in each semester to help them gain a better understanding of the subject. Students will participate in classroom theory sessions as well as practical lab sessions to prepare them for advanced courses. The M.Sc Nursing curriculum integrates new technologies into teaching nursing. In addition to lectures and practicals, students are trained in elective subjects from different specializations.

Description

The Doctor of Philosophy program is designed to prepare doctoral candidates to identify and utilize the nursing science and leadership.
