1. Scheduling simulation activity in the lab
    1. The ASCEN is available free of cost for use by all levels of students in the College of Nursing, The slots must be pre-booked by the Activity Facilitators, subject teachers, or course coordinators using the reservation facility in Sim Capture.
    2. The request for booking the slot must be placed at-least 7 days prior to the scheduled activity, completing the ‘Simulation Activity Request Form’ that is available in College of Nursing website: www.concmc.org. The booking is finalized only when the confirmation is received from the Simulation Coordinator. 
    3. Any other department of the institution may utilize the facility on obtaining permission from the Dean, College of Nursing and on pre-booking their time slots. All users must adhere to instructions related to use of facility and equipment in the Simulation Lab.
    4. The facility may be used for training nursing students and staff from outside the institution on obtaining permission from the Dean, College of Nursing. This is subject to availability of slots, filling of request forms, and payment of the prescribed fee. The Dean and the Simulation Director will determine and reserve the right to decline any such requests.
    5. Approval and priority of use is determined by the Simulation Coordinator based on the learning objectives and timelines for completion of requirements.
    6. On obtaining approval and confirmation to use the facility, the Activity Facilitator/Instructor must coordinate with the Simulation Coordinator to review the goals, objectives, logistics, equipment needs, and activities.
    7. All verified simulation schedules are displayed on the bulletin board located outside the Simulation Hall.
    8. Booking cancellations must be made at-least two days prior to the alotted time slot.
  2. Utilization of Facility
    1. Simulation Coordinator will help the Activity Facilitators and instructors to determine the resources and level of fidelity to effectively meet the defined learning objectives. The equipment and supply list will be confirmed with the instructors during the scheduling.
    2. ASCEN will function from 8 am to 4.30 pm from Monday to Friday and from 8 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays.
    3. The user departments will be responsible to handle the equipment in the facility with utmost care and to organize additional personnel and articles as required for the simulation.
    4. An evaluation is to be given by the Activity Facilitator/ Instructor upon completion of the simulation.
    5. All sessions require appropriate, trained instructors to be present. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the slot.
    6. All high-fidelity scenarios require one instructor per room per 10 learners. All skills sessions require at-least one instructor per 20 students, per skill station.
    7.  No material of ASCEN will be shared with the visitors. No photography or video will be allowed during the tour.
