Chest Pain Unit
The Chest pain unit run by nurses is the only one of its kind in the region which attends to patients with designated staff and provides immediate care. The palliative care nurse, another unique service in CMC attends to the palliative care need of patients in OPD, inpatient care areas, and also at home. The gastric motility and IBD nurse dispatches her responsibilities with a commitment to the rising population with IBD.

Training
Post Basic Diploma in Cardiothoracic Nursing is a one-year course. The course provides intensive knowledge and clinical training in Cardiology and Cardiothoracic nursing. Registered nurses with GNM /B.Sc Nursing qualification can apply for this course. The purpose of this course is to train nurses, to manage patients with Cardiology and Cardiothoracic emergencies, critically ill patients, and disease conditions, and supervise and provide quality care to them.
