Code of Conduct

  1. Dress Code: The faculty and students are expected to be professionally groomed while using the facility. Students must be in clinical uniform.
  2. Food and beverages are not permitted in simulation laboratories, exam rooms, or control rooms
  3. No ink writing instruments (markers, pens, highlighters) are allowed in the simulation rooms as they may permanently damage manikins. Pencils may be used.
  4. Any personal property such as bags, text books, cellphones, laptops, or tablets should not be brought into the simulation room.
  5. Photography and Video: All participants are required to sign a Simulation Agreement Contract which grants College of Nursing the right and permission to use photographs and/or video recordings on College websites, publications, promotional flyers, educational materials, derivative works or for any other similar purpose.
  6. The use of any biohazardous materials such as blood, urine, and any human tissue is strictly prohibited
  7. Participants of ASCEN training event are to maintain and hold confidential all information regarding the performance of all individuals and the details of the training scenarios, which are the intellectual property of the ASCEN, College of Nursing CMC Vellore.
  8. The commodities and equipment must be used as per the prescribed guidelines. Any damage caused due to negligence by the user will need to be compensated as directed.
  9. The waste is to be disposed appropriately as per the Institutional protocols.
  10. Maintaining attendance for the use of Simulation facility by the students is mandatory.
  11. Learners and instructors are required to exercise the highest level of professionalism, integrity, ethics, objectivity, and respect in their behavior and conduct, acting in the best interest of the Institution at all times. Any misconduct or misuse of the privileges is not tolerated.
  12. All simulated clinical experiences should be treated with the same professionalism as actual clinical experiences. Students are expected to report on time for the allotted slots, and latecomers will not be allowed to participate once the activity has begun as this is disruptive to the group.
  13. Respectful and professional communication is to be practiced during the skill and simulation learning experience. 
  14. No photography is allowed in the facility unless approved by the Simulation Coordinator.
