The Sewage Treatment Plant Project is a “Go Green Project” which emphasizes the concept of Reduction, Recycling and Re usage of the available Natural Resources. CMC Vellore as a green initiative constructed a 500KLD Sewage Treatment plant in the CMC College of Nursing campus, Kagithapattarai, Vellore to ensure efficient utilization of local water resources, greening of the campus and limiting the depletion of ground water. The sludge generated from the sewage tank can be used as manure for gardening. The project was made possible by the support from USAID through ASHA program and matching cost sharingfrom CMC Vellore.
